The Götz company, based in the Bavarian municipality of Markt Indersdorf, looks back on a long family tradition. What began as a family-run farm has evolved into a business that, building on its core competence in agriculture, is now active in three segments: agricultural production, heat generation, and power generation.

1903

Andreas Götz acquired a farmstead in Karpfhofen – Markt Indersdorf – with 3.4 hectares of arable land and began cattle farming.

1948

Josef Götz continued the farming business (10.2 ha) and additionally opened an inn (Gasthaus J. Götz) on the farmstead.

1969

Josef Götz (3rd generation) closed the inn and began contract threshing.

1971

Barn expansion and conversion to pig fattening.

1980

Completion and occupation of the farmstead in Ried, including a residential house, machinery hall, grain storage, and a pigsty.

1984

Construction of a second pig barn and expansion of the machinery hall.

1993

Farm expansion with an additional pig barn and a hall.

2001

Construction of the biogas plant with fermenter, CHP building, and distribution systems – start of operation of a 160 kW engine.

2002

Completion of the silage clamp and a hall, as well as commissioning of an additional 130 kW engine.

2003

Commissioning of the ring-in-ring fermenter and a 400 kW engine.

2006

Completion of a digestate storage facility.

2008

The first heat customer (Gastwirtschaft Doll) is connected.

2009

A photovoltaic system is installed on two hall roofs.

2011

Opening of the satellite CHP plant in the industrial area and commissioning of the local district heating network there with eight heat customers. Since then, new heat customers have been added almost every year – reaching 70 supplied properties from this satellite by 2021.

2013

Commissioning of the satellite site at the elementary school, connected via a 4 km gas pipeline. Start of heat supply to the school and the indoor swimming pool.

2014

Completion of another digestate storage facility, commissioning of a CHP container at the farmstead (total output now 1,500 kW plus satellite capacities), expansion of the district heating network in Ried, and installation of a heat buffer storage unit at the satellite site in the industrial area.

2015

Installation of a second CHP container in the industrial area.

2017

Installation of a second CHP container at the farmstead as part of a project with the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the Bavarian State Ministry, and the companies MAN and Elektro Hagl.

2021

End of pig fattening, construction of a heat buffer storage unit at the farmstead along with the establishment of a heating center, installation of a new gas storage dome, and construction of an additional silage clamp.

2022

Expansion of the heating network in Erhard-Prunner-Straße. Groundbreaking for the new heating network originating from our facility. Commissioning of the main pipeline and start of heat supply to the first properties in Karpfhofen.

2023

Construction of a heat storage unit in the industrial area. Construction and commissioning of several district heating network sections. Installation of two Jenbacher CHP units.

2024

Commissioning of a 1,562 kW and an 800 kW Jenbacher engine, along with further connections to the district heating network.
